FAQs
What sort of space do you need?
We can work in any space provided. If electrical power is a problem (working outside) we can work round this. We record using laptops and can use purely acoustic instruments, as long as we are given notice, we can make sure our equipment is fully charged. Lack of power would result in a limited service.
What sort of equipment do you need for a workshop?
We bring everything required. Young people are encouraged to bring music to give examples of the styles they like. If participating in a DJ workshop then they can bring their own CD’s to play on the CD Turntables.
What age groups do you teach?
We teach groups of any age. We have experience working with young people from the ages of 5 to 65.
The majority of our work is with 12-18 year olds.
How many people can you work with at once?
The average group size is 15 with 2-3 members of staff.
We can facilitate groups of any size but we like to operate an approximate ratio of 1:5 teachers to students. This is flexible depending on the age of the young people and how in depth/hands-on you want the workshops to be.
We have worked at large school events with up to 100 in a group.
How long is a workshop?
One of our workshops is usually between 2 – 3 hours but we often do events that last the whole day. This is usually broken up into a succession of smaller sessions so all the young people can have a go.
